Make a fun Chore Chart for kids with a great kit, Chore Chart Kids by Albums to Remember. I used the adorable kids in this kit, cut them out and then added a magnet to the backs. I added rewards to each and can move them around to change things up for the kids. I used a magnetic dry erase board to make it easy to move around and keep track of points. My kids, 7 and 4 love it! And they are helping with so much more around the house without whining! Need to find the magnetic dry erase board, find it here - http://www.boarddudesdirect.com/http://www.boarddudesdirect.com/

Thought it would be fun to have all the student's messages for teacher in one spot. I created a scrapbook layout in My Memories and printed it. I then framed it. This would make a great gift for anyone!

Fun and Inexpensive Teacher's Appreciation Gift
These can be used as clips or even better as bookmarks! Easy to make and can be customized for any occasion and any person! I love how easy it is with MMS, since I don't have to run to the store to find embellishments, I just do a search in my embellishments in my stash!

Why DigiScrap?
Another mom asked me the other day why I spend my free time scrapping my family's photos and not doing other things 'for myself''. I kind of chuckled because I never thought of scrapping as not doing something 'for myself''. I love to be creative so this is a fun way for me to have me time. But I really didn't have a great answer for her. So, it got me thinking...why do I scrap? Selfishly, I do use my scrap time as me time, but I knew there were so many other reasons. Keeping memory of my kids childhoods that seem to be happening all too fast, documenting my family's story, doing something with all the digital pictures I have sitting on my computers, but I still wondered, what was my real motivation. I thought about it and realized that the death of my grandmother had made a huge impact on me and my decision to do something with all of our family photos. These days kids seem to know less and less about their families. Families no longer stay in the same geographical areas, they are spread across the globe. I want my kids to know about our family, both past and present. When my grandma died, she left behind boxes and boxes of photos. Photos that to this day still remain in boxes and when looked at, hold these mysteries of who is in the photo, where they were taken. The stories behind all of the pictures were lost when she died. I took the time to go through many of the boxes, take the pictures out and have them scanned, but what next? I try and scrap these pictures, but it's hard as I have no idea the story behind them. So, this is why I scrap. One day I want my family to know what these picture were about, where they were taken, who is in them. So I scrap every day events, document traditions, make keepsakes out of my kids' schoolwork - so that I have left behind something other than a box full of mysterious pictures. So with that, I thank you Grandma for motivating me to Scrap and save the special moments in my family!

My grandma passed before we could take a photo with all 4 generations, but my other grandma is very much alive and so I made sure to document this special picture of 4 generations of women in our family.

Do you have a 'Bucket List'? Now's the time!
With another year coming to an end, we all think about all those would haves and should haves... wouldn't it be great to see the Grand Canyon before it's too late? Oh, I'd love to learn how to spin pottery! I should have taken my kids to more fun places, maybe someday. I should have learned to knit when I had time. We all have a list running through our minds, or maybe it's been pushed to the back of our minds. But, how many of us really have a bucket list? An actual visual of all the things we'd love to do someday...but before it's too late? I have never actually written mine anywhere, but I am thinking in order to accomplish it, I need to put it somewhere. I am currently working on one of my many items on my list - scrapbooking/documenting my kids childhood, but what if I could do more??? I mean what if I could list mine out somewhere and possibly help someone else. Well, I just reconnected with someone I knew from a few years back, and she is one amazing gal. Family circumstances led her to create Trading Buckets. A place where you or I could help someone else complete an item on their own bucket list! Please go and check it out and I hope it inspires you to put together your own 'bucket list'!

Not So Perfect Pictures

I participated in the weekly Wednesday Challenge over at My Memories, and I came up with this page that has to be one of my all time favorite layouts. I would not have thought to use these pictures because I didn't really like them, but so glad that I did. I love that I took a picture that I really messed up on, not even a glimpse of my son's face and used it as the background for my page.

Cupcake toppers
Here is a super easy way to create fun toppers for your cupcakes or other sweet treats. For these I used the kit, A Halloween Pack by Albums to Remember.
I used My Memories Suite to create the toppers. I made circles and cut them with a circle craft punch. I attached them to toothpicks and then put them on the cupcakes.

MyMemories Blog: Friday Feature!! What are *YOU* up to??
Super excited! The project my kids and I worked on is on the MMS blog. My son decided that as a summer playdate he wanted to make cards for soldiers. When I went looking for stickers and things to put on the cards, I couldn't find any. So, my simple solution was to use MMS and make some. I used the Fabulous 4th Flair by Ettes & Company to make the perfect little embellishments for the cards. This was so easy for the kids! Please check it out here:
