Do you have a 'Bucket List'? Now's the time!

With another year coming to an end, we all think about all those would haves and should haves... wouldn't it be great to see the Grand Canyon before it's too late? Oh, I'd love to learn how to spin pottery! I should have taken my kids to more fun places, maybe someday. I should have learned to knit when I had time. We all have a list running through our minds, or maybe it's been pushed to the back of our minds. But, how many of us really have a bucket list? An actual visual of all the things we'd love to do someday...but before it's too late? I have never actually written mine anywhere, but I am thinking in order to accomplish it, I need to put it somewhere. I am currently working on one of my many items on my list - scrapbooking/documenting my kids childhood, but what if I could do more??? I mean what if I could list mine out somewhere and possibly help someone else. Well, I just reconnected with someone I knew from a few years back, and she is one amazing gal. Family circumstances led her to create Trading Buckets. A place where you or I could help someone else complete an item on their own bucket list! Please go and check it out and I hope it inspires you to put together your own 'bucket list'!

Not So Perfect Pictures

I participated in the weekly Wednesday Challenge over at My Memories, and I came up with this page that has to be one of my all time favorite layouts. I would not have thought to use these pictures because I didn't really like them, but so glad that I did. I love that I took a picture that I really messed up on, not even a glimpse of my son's face and used it as the background for my page.

Cupcake toppers

Here is a super easy way to create fun toppers for your cupcakes or other sweet treats. For these I used the kit, A Halloween Pack by Albums to Remember.

I used My Memories Suite to create the toppers. I made circles and cut them with a circle craft punch. I attached them to toothpicks and then put them on the cupcakes.

MyMemories Blog: Friday Feature!! What are *YOU* up to??

Super excited! The project my kids and I worked on is on the MMS blog. My son decided that as a summer playdate he wanted to make cards for soldiers. When I went looking for stickers and things to put on the cards, I couldn't find any. So, my simple solution was to use MMS and make some. I used the Fabulous 4th Flair by Ettes & Company to make the perfect little embellishments for the cards. This was so easy for the kids! Please check it out here:

A Little More White Space

I have seen so many wonderful layouts with lots of 'white space'. I have been trying to see if I can pull this off with a nice layout, and here is one of my most recent attempts. I like the clean and simple look of this!

Frustration Free Masks!

I am not a huge fan of PSE9 because it just doesn't make sense to me. I have tried and tried, but I just don't get it. I do love the look of masks, and with the help of Albums to Remember, I can use masks without the frustration. Here is a super simple page I was able to make in seconds!

What to do with old school papers

As moms, we all want to keep our children's artwork, schoolwork and everything else from their childhood. I found a great way to keep much of what my son brings home from school, without taking up much space. I have started to scan and digitally scrap many of his writing pages and artwork. This is another reason why I love MMS software!

WOW Time Flies

Wow, lots of time has passed. My 4th child AKA this blog, has been neglected. But, now that we are all sleeping through the night - at least most nights, things have calmed down in this house! Here's the first of many pages to come!
